Susan Gibson
Susan Gibson, born in Fridley, Minnesota, is a singer and songwriter based in
Wimberley, Texas. She was the lead singer for the alternative country band The
Groobees. Gibson wrote "Wide Open Spaces" for the Dixie Chicks, which became a
significant hit. Her solo career includes releases such as Outer Space (2005),
Tight Rope (2011), and The Second Hand (2014).
