Though the psychedelic rock band Sweet Smoke formed in Brooklyn in 1967, they
achieved their greatest success after decamping for Europe. The group settled in
Germany in 1969 and that was where guitarist Marvin Kaminovitz, drummer Jay
Dorfman, bassist Andy Dershin, multi-instrumentationalist Michael Fontana, and
guitarist Victor Sacco began building a name for themselves as a live act thanks
to their jam-heavy sets and intricate, jazz-inspired playing that often featured
