Born on July 24, 1960, in Krosno, Poland, Lora Szafran is an award-winning vocalist. While primarily a jazz performer, she also incorporates other genres into her repertoire. She graduated with honors from the Jazz and Popular Music Department of the Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland in 1986. Two years later, she collaborated with acoustic jazz group New Presentation, recording two albums with them: Lonesome Dancer (1989) and You’ve Changed (1993).
