Taimane Gardner
Taimane Tauiliili Bobby Gardner, known professionally by the mononym Taimane, is
an American ukulele virtuoso and composer born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on February
13, 1989. She began playing the ukulele at five years of age and attended Roy
Sakuma's ukulele school. Discovered by musician Don Ho at 13 years of age, she
also studied under ukulele player Jake Shimabukuro during her teenage years.
Gardner completed her education at the Honolulu Waldorf School and Kapiʻolani
