Tautumeitas
Formed in Riga in 2015 by sisters Asnate and Aurēlija Rancāne, Latvian band
Tautumeitas adapts traditional local music to modern pop. Their debut album Lai
māsiņa rotājās!, recorded with the group Auļi (2017), reached number 26 in the
European charts and was crowned with a Latvian Music Recording Award. It is
followed by the namesake album Tautumeitas (2018), Dziesmas no Aulejas (2020),
Skrejceļš (2022) and Zem saules / Under the Solar Spell (2025). Selected for the
Supernova show, the winner of which earns the right to represent Latvia at the
Eurovision Song Contest, Tautumeitas...
