Born on 23 August 1989 in the Japanese city of Hamamatsu, electronic producer and DJ TeddyLoid—also known as Teddy Sakakibara and 榊原良—began showcasing his remix skills on MySpace in the mid-naughties before landing a gig as a background DJ for finger-slapping guitarist Miyavi that helped to immerse him in the international music world.
