Television Personalities
The Television Personalities, an English post-punk band, were formed in 1977 in
London by singer-songwriter Dan Treacy. Their breakthrough came with the release
of their first single "14th Floor" in January 1978, followed by the EP Where's
Bill Grundy Now?, which included the seminal track "Part Time Punks". This EP
gained significant attention after being played repeatedly by John Peel on BBC
Radio. The band's early line-up was volatile, with members like Joe Foster and
Ed Ball contributing to their initial sound. Their debut album ...And Don't The
Kids Just Love It was released...
