The Allisons, an English pop duo consisting of Bob Day and John Alford, were
born Bernard Colin Day on February 2, 1941, and Brian Henry John Alford on
December 31, 1939, respectively. They were marketed as brothers under the
surname Allison. Their breakthrough came in 1961 when they represented the
United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Are You Sure?". The song
reached Number 1 on the UK NME pop chart and spent six weeks at number 2 on the
