The Amity Affliction

A post-hardcore band from Gympie, Queensland, Australia, The Amity Affliction was founded in 2003 by high-school students Ahren Stringer, singer, and Troy Brady, guitarist. The name was inspired by the death of a close friend in a car accident. Gradually, over the course of 2004, the band was enriched by the arrival of Joel Birch as singer, Garth Buchanan as bassist and Lachlan Faulkner as drummer.
