The Brat was a Chicano punk rock ensemble from East Los Angeles, California.
Formed in late 1978 by lead singer Teresa Covarrubias and guitarists Rudy Medina
and Sidney Medina, the group emerged from the local punk scene, influenced by
artists like Bob Dylan and David Bowie. Their breakthrough came with their
five-song EP Attitudes, released in 1980 through Fatima Records. The Brat's
music blended various genres and cultural influences, reflecting the experiences
