The Cold Stares
A hard rock and blues trio from Evansville, Indiana, The Cold Stares are unique
in that they feature two guitarists and a drummer. Formed in 2008 around the duo
of Chris Tapp (guitar, vocals) and Brian Mullins (drums), The Cold Stares were
based in Madisonville, Kentucky, when they produced their first demo in 2010.
The two musicians, childhood friends, then moved to Indiana and recorded the
self-produced album A Cold Wet Night and a Howling Wind (2013), still as a duo.
Buoyed by the buzz, the band signed with Small Stone Records for Head Bent
