The Danleers are an American doo-wop group formed in Brooklyn, New York in 1958.
The original lineup consisted of Jimmy Weston, Johnny Lee, Willie Ephraim, Nat
McCune, and Roosevelt Mays. The group's breakthrough came with their debut
single "One Summer Night", released on the AMP 3 label in 1958. The song gained
regional traction before being leased to Mercury Records, where it became one of
the year’s biggest hits, selling over one million copies and reaching number 4
on the Billboard Black Singles chart and number 7 on the Best Selling Pop
