The Doughboys
The Doughboys is an American garage rock band from Plainfield, New Jersey,
established in 1965. The original five-member lineup consisted of lead vocalist
Myke Scavone, bassist Mike Caruso, drummer Richard X. Heyman, lead guitarist
Willy Kirchofer, and rhythm guitarist Mike Farina. They originally performed
under the name the Ascots, and gained local popularity by opening for acts
including the Hassles and the Vagrants. In 1966, they won John Zacherle's
