The Fixx, a British New Wave and rock band, was formed in 1979 in London. The
group initially consisted of Cy Curnin on vocals, Rupert Greenall on keyboards,
Adam Woods on drums, and Jamie West-Oram on guitar. They started as The
Portrait, releasing two singles, "Little Women" (1979) and "Hazards In The Home"
(1980), before renaming to The Fix in 1980 with the release of "Lost Planes".
After signing with MCA Records, they changed their name to The Fixx due to
concerns over drug connotations. Their debut album Shuttered Room was released
