The Joneses
The Joneses were a punk band from Anaheim, California, formed in 1981 by
guitarist and singer Jeff Drake and professional skateboarder Steve Olson. Drake
remained the group’s sole constant member through numerous lineup changes. Their
early releases included the singles “Criminals in My Car” and “Jonestown,”
followed by appearances on punk compilations and the Criminals EP. Their only
full-length album, Keeping Up With, was issued by Doctor Dream Records in 1987
after legal delays. Subsequent releases included the Tits and Champagne (1989)
