The King Sisters
The King Sisters were an American big band-era vocal group from Pleasant Grove
established in the early 1930s. They achieved professional recognition for a
musical career characterized by vocal harmonies and for their first hit with a
vocal version of the song "In the Mood". The group consisted of the siblings
Alyce, Donna, Luise, Marilyn, Maxine, and Yvonne King. They achieved
professional recognition for a career that began on a Salt Lake City radio
station before joining the orchestra of the bandleader Horace Heidt in 1935.
