The Montgomery Brothers
The Montgomery Brothers, an American jazz trio from Indianapolis, Indiana,
consisted of Wes Montgomery on electric guitar, Buddy Montgomery on piano and
vibraphone, and Monk Montgomery on electric bass and double bass. The brothers
began their musical journey together in the mid-1950s as members of the
Montgomery-Johnson Quintet with Alonzo Johnson and Robert "Sonny" Johnson. From
1957 to 1960, they recorded under the name the Mastersounds before releasing
albums under their own name, including The Montgomery Brothers and Five Others
