Hailing from Claremont, California, and featuring John Darnielle (vocals,
guitar, keyboards), Peter Hughes (bass, backing vocals), Jon Wurster (drums) and
Matt Douglas (multi-instrumentalist), American indie rock band The Mountain
Goats began their career in 1991. After a few limited releases, the 1994 studio
album Zopilote Machine officially opened the band's discography. This was
