The Pinkerton Thugs
The Pinkerton Thugs were an American punk band from Kennebunk, Maine. Formed in
July 1994 by Paul Russo, Micah Smaldone, and James Whitten, they officially
became The Pinkerton Thugs in March 1996. Their debut release was the EP Life,
Liberty, and the Pursuit of Shit (1996) on Police Records. Their first
full-length album, The Pain and the Pinkerton Thugs (1997), followed on V.M.L.
Records. Known for their radical anarchist views and energetic live
performances, they released the album End of an Era (2000) on Go-Kart Records.
