The Poppy Family were a Canadian psych-pop group based in Vancouver, who formed
in 1968. The band consisted of Susan Pesklevits, who later became known as Susan
Jacks, Terry Jacks, and Craig McCaw. The trio met when Susan Jacks invited Terry
Jacks to accompany her on rhythm guitar for a live performance. Their
distinctive sound was completed with the addition of Satwant Singh on tabla
drums. In 1968, they released their debut single "Beyond the Clouds" and in
