The Rakes
The Rakes were a British indie rock band formed in London, England, in 2003.
After a brief period of local performances, the group gained initial traction
with the release of the EP Retreat in 2005, followed by their debut full‑length
album Capture/Release later that year. The band continued to develop a following
with the 19 March 2007 release of Ten New Messages, followed by the single "The
World Was A Mess But His Hair Was Perfect" later that year. In 2009, The Rakes
released their third studio album, Klang, on 23 March, along with the single
"1989". The band's momentum halted...
