The Vandals
The Vandals is an American punk rock band formed in 1980 in Huntington Beach,
California, by guitarist Jan Nils Ackermann. The group includes vocalist Dave
Quackenbush, guitarist Warren Fitzgerald, bassist Joe Escalante, and drummer
Josh Freese. The band debuted with the EP Peace thru Vandalism (1982), which
featured the local hit “Urban Struggle” (1982). In 1985, they released the
studio album When in Rome Do as the Vandals (1985), followed by Slippery When
