The Wondermints
The Wondermints, an American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1992. Their
initial breakthrough came with the vinyl single "Proto-Pretty" which was later
included in Rhino Records' Poptopia series of power pop compilations. The band
released their debut album Wondermints (The Blue Tape) in 1992, followed by
releases such as Wondermints (1996), Bali (1998), and Mind If We Make Love to
You (2002). They also contributed to the soundtrack of the first Austin Powers
movie at the request of Mike Myers. In 1999, the Wondermints became part of
