Real name Ruben Louis, born in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) on July 10, 1997, French rapper Timal grew up in Seine-et-Marne. He took his pseudonym from his Guadeloupean origins, and began to make a name for himself with videos posted on video-sharing sites.
