Tom Chapin, born on March 13, 1945 in New York City, is an American singer-songwriter. He began performing with his brothers Harry and Steve as the Chapin Brothers during the 1960s folk revival. In 1971, Tom hosted ABC's children's TV series Make a Wish, which earned him a Peabody Award. His first solo album, Life is Like That, was released in 1976 on Fantasy Records. Chapin has released numerous albums for both adult and children's audiences, including Family Tree (1988) and In My Hometown (1998).
