Thomas Jerome Moulton is an American record producer who was born in 1940 in Schenectady. Before starting his production career, he worked as a model and held promotion positions at labels including King Records, RCA, and United Artists. He is credited with inventing the breakdown section and the 12-inch single vinyl format. Moulton achieved a breakthrough with a continuous-mix tape created for The Sandpiper on Fire Island, which led to his work on the Gloria Gaynor disco album Never Can Say Goodbye (1975). He is famous for remixing hits such as The Three Degrees' “Dirty Ol' Man”...
