Tomomi Kahara, born Tomomi Shimogawara on August 17, 1974, in Tokyo, Japan, is a
Japanese pop singer. Before her music career, she worked as a model and appeared
in fashion magazines such as CanCam and Vivi, as well as various TV shows.
Kahara's breakthrough came in late 1995 with the release of her first single
"Keep Yourself Alive", which peaked at number 8 on the charts. She gained
significant popularity with her second single "I Believe" and her debut album
