(Tomoyasu Hotei, HOTEI)
Tomoyasu Hotei is a popular Japanese rock singer and musician who first gained
fame as a member of the band Boowy, who had many hits in the 1980s. After they
broke up, Hotei pursued a solo career starting with the album 'Guitarhythm',
which went to number two on Japan's Oricon albums chart in 1988. Many studio
albums followed over the years. 'Guitarhythm II' (1991) topped the chart,
'Guitarhythm III (1992) and 'Guitarhythm IV' (1994) reached number two, 'King &
Queen' (1996) went to number one, 'Guitarhythm V' number five, 'New Beginnings'
(2014) number four and 'Guitarhythm VI' ...
