Kim Ye-won, better known to the world by her stage name Umji, is a South Korean
singer and musician. She was born on August 19, 1998, in Yeonsu-dong, Yeonsu-gu,
Incheon. She is the youngest child in her family, which includes an older
brother and sister. Umji graduated from the School of Performing Arts Seoul in
2017. Her professional music career began when she debuted as a member of the
K-pop girl group GFriend in 2015. The group released their first extended play
