Alternative rock band Underground Lovers was formed in 1988 in Melbourne,
Australia. Founded by guitarist / vocalist Glenn Bennie and guitarist /
keyboardist / vocalist Vincent Giarrusso, the band was originally known as GBVG
before changing their name in 1990 to Underground Lovers. Initially exploring a
darker gothic post-punk sound, the band expanded their musical scope with the
addition of Richard Andrew (drums), Philippa Nihill (vocals / guitars /
