Unearthly Trance
Unearthly Trance, a sludge metal/doom metal trio from Long Island, was formed in
2000 by guitarist-vocalist Ryan Lipynsky, bassist Jay Newman, and drummer Darren
Verni. The band released their debut material on leading labels such as Southern
Lord, Rise Above Records, and Relapse Records. Their first album, In the Red,
was released in January 2004. Unearthly Trance gained critical acclaim and
shared tours with notable bands including Sunn O))), Pelican, Electric Wizard,
