Varg is a metal band from Coburg that was founded in 2005. In the beginning, the
band's style was pagan metal. Later, influences from the fields of Neue Deutsche
Härte and melodic death metal followed. Varg themselves call their style of rock
music Wolf Metal. After the first demo recordings on Donareiche (2006), Varg
released their debut album Wolfszeit in 2007. It was not until 2011 that
Wolfskult made its first chart entry (33rd place) in Germany. The follow-up
Guten Tag made it to number 25 in the German album charts in 2012. Four years
