Born in London, Joseph Winger Thornalley, known as Vegyn, began making beats in
2013 while studying design at the London College of Communication. He soon left
university to pursue music, founding the PLZ Make It Ruins label. His early work
caught the attention of James Blake, who played Vegyn’s tracks on BBC Radio in
2014. At the club Plastic People, he met Frank Ocean, later contributing to
Ocean’s albums Blonde and Endless, and hosting Blonded Radio in 2017. In 2019,
he released the mixtape Text While Driving If You Want To Meet God! and debut
album Only Diamonds Cut Diamonds....
