Venera
Venera is an American electronic duo from Los Angeles. Formed in 2022, the group
consists of the guitarist James Shaffer and the composer Chris Hunt. The
musicians met while working with the vocalist Xhoana X. Their musical style
incorporates elements of dark ambient, industrial and electronic music. The
ensemble released the single “Swarm” in 2023. Their recording history also
included the eponymous studio album Venera (2023), issued through the label
Ipecac Recordings. In 2025, the group announced its second studio album,
Exinfinite, and released the single “Tear”.
