Viking
Viking is an American thrash metal band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in
1986, the ensemble consists of vocalist and guitarist Ron Eriksen, bassist Mike
Gonzalez, drummer Matt Jordan and guitarist Justin Zych. Past members included
bassist James Lareau, guitarist Brett Eriksen, drummer Gene Hoglan and guitarist
Glenn Rogers. The group released its debut studio album, Do or Die, in 1988
through the label Metal Blade Records. Their recording history also featured the
studio recording Man of Straw (1989), for which Eriksen altered the lyrics to
