Vince Martin
Vince Martin, born Vincent Marcellino on March 17, 1937, was an American folk
singer and songwriter. He first recorded with the Tarriers on the 1956 hit
single "Cindy, Oh Cindy" before gaining wider recognition through his
partnership with Fred Neil. Their influential album Tear Down the Walls (1964),
featuring musicians including John Sebastian and Felix Pappalardi, became a
landmark of the emerging folk and folk rock scene. Martin later recorded the
solo albums If the Jasmine Don't Get You ... the Bay Breeze Will (1969), made in
Nashville with musicians from Bob Dylan's Nashvil...
