Voz Propia was a Peruvian band formed in 1985 that emerged from Lima's
underground rock scene. Founded by Miguel Ángel Vidal Trujillo, the group
initially performed under the name Vox Propia before changing it to Voz Propia.
Their first concert took place in June 1986 at the Comunicarte festival. In
January 1987, they began recording their debut cassette El Ingreso, which was
released the following month. The band won the TallerRock contest in October
