Western Union
Western Union formed as an amateur group in Berlin-Mariendorf in 1966, with
Larry Schuba joining the following year and becoming its leader. Initially
performing country covers by artists such as Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Willie
Nelson, and Johnny Cash, the band played military clubs, youth centers, and
local events. They later became Gunter Gabriel’s backing band and released their
first single, "Wer liebt der lebt länger / Versuch es noch einmal mit mir", in
