Sannie Charlotte Carlson, known professionally as Whigfield, was born on 11
April 1970 in Skælskør, Denmark. She began her career as a singer for the
Italian dance act Whigfield, a collaboration with producer Alfredo Larry
Pignagnoli. The project gained significant attention with the release of
"Saturday Night" in 1994, which became a global hit and reached number one on
the UK Singles Chart, making Whigfield the first non-UK artist at the time to
