Whylove
Yitz Jordan, known professionally as Y-Love, is an American hip hop artist born
on January 5, 1978, in Baltimore, Maryland. Jordan blends English, Hebrew,
Yiddish, Arabic, Latin, and Aramaic in his lyrics. After moving to Brooklyn in
2001, Y-Love began performing at local open mics. His first mixtape DJ Handler
Presents Y-Love: The Mix Tape (2005) earned him the Best Hip Hop Artist award at
Heeb's 2006 Jewish Music Awards. In 2008, he released the debut full-length
album This Is Babylon, as well as the album Count It (Sefira) with Yuri Lane.
