Willemijn Verkaik, born 16 June 1975 in Son en Breugel, Netherlands, is a Dutch
singer‑actor who has performed in multiple languages. After studying at the
Rotterdam Conservatory and briefly at Guildford, she entered the musical theatre
scene with ensemble work in the Dutch production of Elisabeth and later gained
recognition for her role as Elphaba in Wicked, which she performed over 2 000
times across German, Dutch, and English productions, becoming the only performer
