Willi Williams
Willi Williams, born Wilbert Keith Williams on June 15, 1953, in Saint Ann
Parish, Jamaica, is a reggae and dub musician. He first recorded at Studio One
in the late 1960s while still in school and set up the Tripletone sound system
in 1967. His breakthrough came in 1977 with "Armagideon Time," recorded over the
"Real Rock" riddim with keyboardist Jackie Mittoo and producer Coxsone Dodd. The
song was later covered by The Clash on the flipside of their "London Calling"
single and appeared in the film Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai and on K-JAH
