William Towers
William Towers, an English countertenor born in the United Kingdom, began his
musical journey as a choral scholar while reading English at Cambridge
University. He continued his training at the Royal Academy of Music. In 2000, he
appeared extensively as a soloist in Sir John Eliot Gardiner’s Bach Cantata
Pilgrimage, with recordings released on CD through SDG and Archiv labels.
Following this, he performed in various concerts and operatic productions, with
a repertoire spanning Baroque works to modern operas by Benjamin Britten.
