Wu Bixia, born 吴碧霞 on July 23, 1975, in Changde, Hunan Province, China, is a
singer known for her interpretations of traditional Chinese music. Wu Bixia
began her career performing with traditional orchestras, showcasing her
versatility by interpreting both regional folk music and national classics such
as Le Rêve dans le pavillon rouge. In 2002, she collaborated with the Young
Philharmonic Chorus of Taipei. One of her notable performances includes a
rendition of Gǎnlǎnshù (橄榄树), originally composed by Li Tai-hsiang and
popularized by Chyi Yu.
