Winford Lindsey "Wynn" Stewart, born on June 7, 1934, in Morrisville, Missouri,
was an American country music singer and songwriter. After moving to California,
Stewart formed a band and signed his first recording contract with Intro Records
in 1954. In 1956, he signed with Capitol Records and achieved his first major
hit with "Waltz of the Angels". Stewart later moved to Jackpot Records and
Challenge Records and had a breakthrough with "Wishful Thinking" in 1959. His
