Zaki Ibrahim
Zaki Ibrahim, born in British Columbia to a South African father and a British
mother, is a South African-Canadian singer-songwriter whose music blends R&B,
soul, and jazz. After relocating to Toronto in the mid-2000s, she became a
popular draw on the live music scene. Her debut EP, Shö (Iqra in Orange) (2006),
was followed by the EP Eclectica (Episodes in Purple) (2008). The single "Money"
(2008) earned a Juno Award nomination in 2009 for R&B/Soul Recording of the
