ZK, a German punk band from Düsseldorf, were formed in November 1978 by Andreas
von Holst, Campino, Claus Fabian, and Ralf Isbert. Initially known as
Zentralkomitee Stadtmitte, they later adopted the abbreviation ZK. The band
released their debut single "Tip von Twinky" in 1979, followed by "Das Grauen
geht auf große Fahrt" in 1980 and the album Eddie’s Salon in 1981. Known for
their humorous lyrics, ZK's music evolved to include elements of schlager and
rockabilly. The band disbanded after their final concert in November 1981.
