Zoh Amba
Zoh Amba, born 27 April 2000 in Kingsport, Tennessee, is an American
saxophonist who began playing tenor sax in her youth. After studying at the
San Francisco Conservatory of Music and later the New England Conservatory under
David Murray, she entered the professional scene with her debut album O, Sun in
2022, produced by John Zorn and released on Tzadik. The same year she issued O
Life, O Light Vol. 1 through 577 Records, collaborating with William Parker and
Francisco Mela, followed by Bhakti with Micah Thomas, Tyshawn Sorey, and
