OBA, real name David Obadja, is a French-speaking artist who describes his music
as Afro-Caribbean groove. Inspired by a wide range of Caribbean, American and
African influences, the Martinique-born singer made a name for himself in 2017
with the track"Mannyé ou yé" (2017), a ballad sung in Creole. After multiple
singles, OBA confirmed his musical path with the shatta dancehall single"Makat"
in collaboration with Mikado and Mafio House, followed by the more
Afropop-sounding EP OBA FI REAL (2024).
