Spoegwolf
Spoegwolf, an Afrikaans rock band from Paarl, South Africa, was formed in 2012
by Moskou du Toit, Chris von Wielligh, Albert van der Merwe, and Danie du Toit.
The group initially played together under the name Ysterkoei during high school,
winning several competitions before securing a recording contract with Paris
Recording Studios. In 2012, they released their debut album Swaartekrag under
the new name Spoegwolf. Their subsequent albums include Somer (2015), which won
Best Alternative Album at the Ghoema Music Awards, and Die Donker Toring (2017).
